So i just got a 2002 mini 3 days ago! I've always wanted a mini and i finally got the chance to buy one. I thought i did my research before buying the car but now after reading a lot of the posts on other mini forums I find myself a bit discouraged by what i read. It seems like no one really has anything good to say about the car and everyone talks about the failures that have plagued their cars. I just wonder if i made a mistake. If i did there is really nothing i can do about it now but i have already gone through one car that i bought breaking down about 6 months after i got it and it really worries me that this might happen again.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry too much, there are tens of thousands of MINIs out there, there are very few problems but most people don't go on forums to say my car is working fine every week! Most people who have a problem will look it up on the internet and / or post about it . at least it makes you aware that there may be problems and to keep an eye on certain parts of the car but I would not worry just get out there and enjoy it!!!
