I'm considering buying my wife a Mini Cooper for her Birthday, possibly the convertible or Roadster models. I'm just reaching out for any shopping tips. Is there much negotiating room on the purchase price? Any other things I need to be aware of or think about as I'm looking?

Also anyone have any thoughts on hardtop vs convertible vs roadster?
