Need help choosing a car...

I really want a mini cooper for my new car. I had always assumed I'd
get the si but I've heard some positive things about the clubman. I'd
like a little more room to drive other people/bring some more stuff.
Has anyone driven the clubman who can give me some feedback? Here's a
link to the two cars: http://vlane.com/comparison/2207

Get what you want, of course, and get what best fits your lifestyle. I'd suggest going and driving both and seeing which you prefer.

For myself I'd prefer an S model, but if I could buy two (one for me, one for my wife) the wife's would probably be a Clubman.

which one?

I just test drove 3 different 2009 minis. I first drove the mini. much improved over our 2003. Then the clubman s. This car has 6" more cargo space, and 4" more foot room in the rear. The turbo makes it a great little sports car. The passenger side has a partial 3rd. door that makes getting in and out much nicer. Then I drove the JCW s with a 6 speed manual trans. WOW!!! Too much power for me. The clubman was a great car. The salesman took us out to the test track at Scottsdale Mini, and I was very impressed. We chose to get the 2009 Cooper S. The turbo is a great option, and I would highly reccomend it.

I'm new to Mini's and your website. Is this the right place to post my questions? If so... This week I sold my BMW z3.. I want a mini. My wife doesn't drive manual transmissions. My question is.. are the automatics reliable and do they have paddle shifters?
