new mini locks
 

Hi, i have just fitted a new steering column lock (and DMW and EWS). The transponder key supplied (all parts from a donor mini) will start the car but will not operate the central locking. I have changed the battery in key but no luck - I have been told that i need to re-aligh the transponder to the car. How do I do this???????? also I am changing the driver door lock and have the panel off - and can see the inside of the door - how do I remove the door handle and fit the new lock.

I BELIEVE that the dealer needs to reprogram the new keyset to act with the computer
