so i am looking at picking up a mini r50 and my mom is going to co sign for me being that i am only 19 and have no credit yet.....she is concered that mini might be expensive to repair if something were to happen to it....any thoughts on this?

Early Automatics were problematic and very pricey to repair.
Like anything else if maintenance was done properly and regularly the chances are better you won't have bad repair bills..
If you are worried I'd look into certified preowned or an aftermarket warranty

It has been mentioned that early model aotomatics had some problems. What are you calling an "Early Model"?
