Reliable?
 

Hello,

I purchased my first Mini in October of 2016. It is a (CPO 2013) R55N and it is a blast to drive. Purchased it to make an 80 mile round trip commute 5 days per week.

Since I have purchased this car, it has been back to the dealer 3 times for warranty service. Mini has covered the repairs and provided a brand new loaner vehicle each time. No complaints with their service.

After my most recent warranty problem (3rd problem in 4 months) I am wondering if I made a mistake, buying a Mini for my commute.

Do you guys and gals consider Mini Coopers a reliable commuter?

Just curious.

For reference, here are the 3 services (covered by warranty) that I have had in the last 4 months:

1. Defective filter related to smog system
2. Defective oil filter gasket that caused a coolant leak
3. Faulty exhaust vanos solenoid

I purchased the R55N with 27K and I currently have 33.5K on this vehicle.
