Thoughts on Clubman S Purchase 2010 v 2012

I am looking at 2 different clubman s cars in my area. One is a 2012 with 23,000miles at a local American car dealer. The second is a 2010 with 18,900 miles at a mini dealership. They are both selling for just under $19,000. The 2010 is "mininext" certified pre-owned. The 2010 is also one owner. Both are standard tranny. Does anyone know if the certified pre-owned minis come with any type of warranty that exceeds normal mini coverage? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am a land rover defender guy who is new to the mini world. Fell in love on a test drive. The 2012 has had three owners (red flag?)... First owner was commercial for 6 mos, next two were personal (certified pre - owned for those two purchasers... not anymore).

Hi isleofbones. In my opinion I would just go with gut instinct. With only 4k separating the 2 Minis. That's nothing really. I don't know if the certified pre-owned minis come with any type of warranty that exceeds normal mini coverage. I would ask that question at the Mini dealership. Have you checked the carfax on either one of them? By the way, I think Defenders are the sickest off road vehicles. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. After careful consideration, I decided to purchase a 2015 cooper s hardtop in Volcanic Orange. Not too many options - panoramic sunroof and and winter package, armrest, bonnet stripes, black roof and mirrors (not sure that the black accents are an option) and black wheels. Didn't want black wheels, but it came with them. Anyway, very eager. Wasn't sure whether to go with the automatic or the standard. But, most enthusiasts I spoke to voted for the standard. I could still probably change to auto (they have both in stock). Was surprised to learn that the auto tranny is actually faster, but I am not "speed crazy". Thanks again for the advice.
