what kind of fuel?
You don't say S or not ...
An S requires premium for peak/proper performance , I was forced to run regular and the car ran horribly and got crappy gas mileage 10 mpg below normal...
this was quiet te subject on several other mini boards ... I talked to te service manager and he stated he can instantly tell the mini's that have had premium all their lives , because the valves ect are spotless , while regular gas runners are full of deposits and crud ...
The way I look at it , it's $2/per fillup versus $6K for an engine

that's pretty nasty response for a question....
I hope not all are like you in here.
anyway, I think I WILL get a Honda or something as you preached since I am looking for fuel economy car with a look. If Mini is that sensitive to type of fuel, Mini is not it.
Thanks for your input and sorry I posted this 'dumb' question.
