04 Clutch Question

Hello I have had my 2004 MCS for about 2 years now and it was fine till now. I have 56500 miles on it and my clutch is slipping. I do deliveries for pizza hut everyday but i dont think that is why the clutch is going. Is this a common issue for this car and at this low mileage? Also I would like to know where I can get a good clutch for not to expensive and what kind is good? Thanks

Clutch wear isn't so much a factor of mileage as of the number of gear changes. If you do lots of stop/start driving (as sounds the case if you're doing pizza deliveries) then you'll wear the clutch out faster than if you do lots of highway cruising.

Also, driving technique is important. Do you ride the clutch when waiting on hills or traffic lights? Do you drive in hilly areas wear you work through the gears a lot?

You can burn a clutch out in 1000 miles of hard driving. I've had one last 100,000km. It's about the driving, not the mileage.
