05 Mini Cooper #2 misfire. Can anyone help me??
Hey all! New here, really hoping somebody can help me out. I have a 2005 Mini Cooper. Not an "S". Keep getting PO302 cylinder #2 misfire code. The car runs fine down the road, but as soon as it warms up and you slow down, like at a red light, it starts missing. Shut it off and restart and it's fine again.
So far I have replaced the following: Plugs Wires Coil Injector Camshaft position sensor The camshaft sensor I just replaced today, backed it out of the garage, let it idle for 10 minutes and as soon as I got in it, it was missing already. Shut it off and restarted it and ran fine. Took it for a spin, ran fine..... until I slowed down to turn around, then started missing, I shut it off and restarted it and ran perfect again all the way home. I am out of ideas on this thing, about ready to roll it over a cliff! Can't keep throwing money at it like this. It's a very nice car, adult owned and cared for all its life. It just turned 90k, clean and has always had regular oil changes, etc. never abused. I just can't seem ti figure this out. Does anybody have any ideas that could help me? Please? Thanks in advance! |
