2009 Clubman - Stuck Split Rear Doors
 

For no apparent reason the split doors on my 2009 Clubman recently froze shut; can't open with remote or mechanical handles. Took to Flow Mini in Raleigh NC for a check-up; they quoted an estimate of $650!!! for parts and repairs to free up doors. Anyone had experience with this problem; any suggestions for other solutions; thanks much for any advice. John Davis

Did they say what the issue was or just..."It's going to be $650..." ?

I was somewhat in a state of shock so didn't take it in very well. They mentioned a number of items; the one I recall is actuators.

Unfortunately, I believe moisture gets into an actuator which can sometimes cause it to fail by creating a resistance between it and it's regulator. Try getting a quote from an indy shop and shop around for the parts.

I 2010 mini Cooper clubman is doing the same thing did you ever get yours taken care of I’m trying to figure out a way to open them manually so that I can check inside the door panels let me know if you find out the problem thank you
