2011-2013 1.6 Engine Swap into 2008-2010 Clubman 1.6 Non Turbo
 

Hello People,

Checking in to see if it's possible to swap in a 2011-2013 Mini cooper 1.6 Non turbo long block into a 2008 non turbo base model (2008-2010).

I am aware of the chain related issues in the 08-10 models and would like to know if I can use a newer engine in the older platform as the engines "Visually" appear to be the same.

I've tried this with success in other vehicles but would like to get some feedback on this platform.

I did 3 quick searches with no results and I apologize if I missed a thread that detailed this content.
