2012 mini cooper knock sensor location

Got a rough running, low power engine and the engine light came on. Pulled two codes, P0328 and P0300. I erased the P0328 and then it showed the other code. The first code "Knock Sensor 1 Circuit High Input (Bank 1), points to the knock sensor being at fault. The second "Generic Random Misfire detected", seems to be there because of the first problem. I priced a sensor and it will cost $20.00. If that's the main problem, it seems to be a cheap fix, only if the sensor is in an accessible location.
Does anyone know where it is located on the engine?...And I'm open to ideas if you've seen this problem before and its something else.
Car details:
E series: R56 (MUE), Engine: N16, Displacement: 1.60

Thanks!
David
