Mini Cooper Forums - Mini Cooper Enthusiast Forums - 2017 Mini drop top headlight question

Brand new owner of a 2017 mini drop top, and love this car. Only running the 1.5 l manual shift, but it is amazingly quick. My last car was a 2006 Miata, and I have to say I like this one better. One problem is the passenger side front headlight has been scratched, before I got the car. It is about 1" wide and about 5" long, just off to the middle of the light. Can this be buffed out or can you get a replacement plastic lens cover. I tapped on it and it sounds like plastic. It only has 38,000 miles on it, and should I make sure it gets an oil change about every 3-5,000 miles? Thanks for any input you can give a new Mini owner.
