my wife and i purchased a 2007 mini a couple months ago.
we've had some issues with it -- for the most part, dealer has addressed them.
last time it was in the shop we mentioned that whenever we brake, we get bad static on the AM radio -- especially on out of town stations.
dealer said this is normal.
well, i've driven cars for 45 years -- never ever had this problem occur with any other make or model.
it's not a reception problem -- just bad static when applying the brakes.
AM band only (which makes sense at least).
terribly annoying -- seeing that mini holds itself out to be an upscale vehicle, static on the AM whenever the brakes are applied being normal seems ridiculous to me.
thoughts?
