ASC light

from my past experience there is 2 things that might have happened

1) the ASC cable is ripped
2) you could have gone into a pothole, my frineds did that to their BMW 3-series coupe
their traction light went on and off

your best bet is to go to a mini cooper dealer and tell them that ur ASC light wont go away
hopefully the mini u got still has warrenty

Also check that the tires are properly inflated ... A low tire can make it sense wrong

Your ABS harness connector plug (pin contacts) have corrosion wiggle the harness and cycle the ignition if it works --- clean corrosion in pin connector plug/ socket warning do not pry on female side pins, if they widen they won't contact properly male pin contacts.

If it does not work: Your ABS module has internal damage and will need repair/rebuild/and or replaced which needs software and aligning
