Break + ! in a triangle in a circle with an arrow waring light
 

Yesterday while on the freeway I heard a loud clunk! Then the break warning light and the ! in a triangle inside a circle with an arrow warning lights came on.

When I was able to park the car and take a look underneath, the left side air diverter flap was hanging by only one clip. (The right side flap was missing all together) It looks like it scraped the road, so I'm assuming thats what the sound was. Once I restarted the car and drove a bit the warning lights went off. According to the manual it says I need to take the car in to get checked. Do you think this is necessary since the lights went off?
