Buying an older Mini-Cooper help

new member here. i need help, i am considering buying my first mini-cooper this week. but, i am unsure if i should save money and get an older car, with higher miles.

are minis reliable over all?
what major/minor issues, can i expect when buying a 2004/2005 cooper.
also, the cars ive seen have on avg 60,000 to 80,000 miles:eek:?

any advice would be appreciated... thank you :)

If maintained well they are descent cars .. I'd be cautious of the earlier Automatics ...
They are prone to fail and a VERY pricey to repair ($4/$5k) My 05's only been into the shop for covered maintenance ..Low mileage ones are around There's an 05 here with only 18k miles , unfortunately they bring huge $$$ ... The good ting is they hold value really well ..The dealer offered me $2k less then I paid for my 4 year old 05 with 38K miles
