Cold Start Stumble/surge

Think Ive got most of the bugs worked out of this thing except for the cold start problem. Anyone know of a fix? RPM's will fall below 1000 and them recover on a cold start. It will do this about 3-4 times before leveling out. And if its not all the way warm, the eng will power surge at about 2800rpm or so. After its warm, the rpm's rise nice and smooth.

Cold starts

I had this same problem with my 07' Cooper S. On really cold days the rpm's would drop so low the car would just shut down. I brought it to the dealer 14 times before they told me it was the intake manifold. After practically having my engine rebuilt and driving out there for the 21st time I told them I didn't want the car anymore. I worked with my dealer for an even trade for a 2009 Cooper S. I've had it now for 8 months and so far so good!!

Hopefully you have better luck than I did!
