Cooper 2002 Central Locking!
 

Hi,

Got my 2002 Cooper two days ago and happy!

But, I cannot open the doors with the remote key but can lock them!!

Have to put key in lock to unlock but central locks fine?

HEard there is a reset you can do?

An ideas/

First I'd check the lock/unlock on the remote ... My Autozone/Advanced has a "tester" you activate both buttons and see if there is an output , no output in the one the remote has a trouble ... Might be a dirty switch , even a weak battery
If there is an output for each then the reciever may have a trouble , I'm not aware of a reset other then disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it , any further then that will need a dealer to connecct to the bus to check activity
