Does anyone know how much automatic transmission fluid comes out when you drain it (without flush)?
In other words, how much do I need to do a drain and refill?

It takes like 5 liters of special ATF for the CVT that you can get at the dealer. But you need a special tool to put it in.

I'm aware that you must use the ATF supplied only by MINI dealers, and I believe that the fluid capacity is 4.5 litres, but when you just do a drain you won't get all of the fluid out, probably more like one-half, but I would like to know for sure before start. By the way, my dealer wanted $22/litre for the stuff but I called several dealers and found it for about half of that from a dealer in Cincinatti, OH.
