Fault code P0341
Hello everyone!
I recently bought a 2005 Mini R50 and I can’t get rid of a warning light. It’s the orange warning light with the triangle and exclamation mark. I scanned the car with my diagnostic tool and it shows fault code P0341 (Camshaft Position Sensor 1).
I have already replaced the camshaft position sensor, the spark plugs, and changed the engine oil to 5W30, but there has been no improvement.
The warning light comes on about once every five starts, most often when the car is cold. It is usually accompanied by a slightly difficult start. However, when the warning light comes on and I switch the engine off and start it again, the car starts immediately and perfectly, with no warning light.
So the warning only appears on the first start, and not every time. Apart from this issue, the car drives perfectly and I have noticed no other problems.
Do you have any ideas on what could cause this issue or how I could get rid of this warning light?
