Hello guys. I fulfilled my dream of owning a Mini Cooper last year. It's a new red Hatch 3DR with two white stripes. Brand new. I love the look and the driving experience. Best purchase ever.

Now, to the point. Currently my car is about to hit the 4,000 Km. (2,485 miles) mark. I am by no means a mechanics experts so I'd like to ask you the following:

• When should I take my Mini for its first maintenance?
• What are the usual parts/pieces that are checked/changed during this step?
• Should I change the oil given the current mileage? If so, which brand do you recommend?
