Just picked up a 2004 mini cooper today!

so far loving the car. using it as my daily driver.

so i think this is the largest mini cooper forum? correct me if im wrong and point me to the right way lol

anywaise... im having a strange noise when ever i turn. accually even if i just put pressure on the steering wheel in any direction.

it liks a high pitch humming noise.

anyone? maybe needs to add some steering fluid? but cant find that either haha

help?!

It could be low on fluid or the electric pumps going out

 

Hi! I'm new too and I also just bought a 2004 with that same noise. I was wondering where I might find the reservoir to add fluid. I didn't get a manual and haven't poked around under the hood yet. My old car was (is) a beetle so I've learned to do a few things without having to ask the hubby.
