Fog Light Connection Problems
 

Seems like a really simple thing, but I just bought a new fog light on ebay since my right fog light on my car was missing and the connection doesn't work with the pigtail connector on my car. The fog light I bought said it was for an 02-07 mini cooper. I own an 02 mini cooper s. Attached is a picture of the connector I have along with a picture of the connection on the fog light. Please help me understand why this isn't working :confused:

Is the lock clip broken? Check to see if it's not bent or locked up with dirt and grime.

I can help you , back in the early MINI days in 2002 there was pre 6/2002 and post 6/2002 fog lights.

Pre 6/2002 used a H7 bulb 63217160781 and socket MINI / BMW part 63128380206.

In post 6/2002 and up model , they went to newer design housing / bulb combo of the H11 bulb. Part # 63217160784

There is no full housing anymore for the pre 6/2002 MINI replacement anymore, if you replace the housing you get the new housing with the H11 bulb.

We have a harness , pair ( for two light housings ), to go from you H7 ( 63128380206 (9006 socket) to H11 for the conversion.
