I have a 2004 Mini with 33K miles. I am the second owner and I am pretty sure the previous owner did not change the brakes. Under normal driving conditions, How many miles would you get out of a set of brakes and should I just go ahead and change them even if I am not having any problems?
Which type should I get, ceramic, organic if available ?

Most Brake shops will inspect for free ... Mileage varies depending on driving habits I got 75K out of my factory fronts the rears had 20k or so left but I changed them all
