Hi guys,

I've looked through the manual and online to try and find out what this red triangle symbol indicates. On our other car (BMW X3) it would indicate that there is a service overdue given the red colour. If orange, usually it can mean some kind of notification i.e. windshield fluid is low.

Can anyone tell me what this symbol indicates?

The model is a 2018 Cooper S.

We're about to buy it from a dealer and when I asked them, they claim it simply means that the Auto Stability Control is turned off which I'm quite positive would be indicated by an actual dash light and not just a notification.
