Hi I'm new to this forum, I have a hesitation when I get to about 1700 revs on my r56 cooper s 2009 could anybody help pls

 

any check engine light? is it trans slipping? automatic or manual?

my son took the car to a garage and the mechanic said the ECU is not reading or recognising the traction control if I can remember rightly.
i haven’t taken the issue any further yet but what do you think it is from what I’ve told you or better still how much more money do I have to spend,done engine rebuild about 18 months ago
