High Mileage Mini

Hello, my R52 Cooper S Convertible is now post 210,000km. Somewhere around 124,000 miles. I've been pretty good with regards maintenance, and ultimately want to keep the car "forever".....or at least to 300,000km. (Sidebar: I'm tired of throwing things away that just need a bit of repair). She sleeps in the garage in the winter, so that helps from an overall perspective with salt/rust etc. I haven't seen a great deal of rust but keep looking all the time...big fear of rust!

I'm looking for some advice from any other high-mileage-owners. What are some of the things that you have run in to - could you take a look at the list below and let me know if I"m missing anything please? I know this will cost $$$ but that's ok, given that I want to keep the car running just as well as she is now.

Work done between 100,000km – 150,000km
• Power steering reservoir and cooling fan
• Thermostat
• Serpentine Belt
• Air Filter assembly
• Changed Coolant and transmission fluid
• Water Pump
• Serviced super charger
• Replaced water pump and radiator hose
• New Battery
• New clutch and slave assembly, new (smaller) overdrive pulley
• Front shocks

Work done between 150,000km and 200,000km
• Thermostat
• Gear box selector cables
• Power steering cooling fan
• Alternator
• Right front engine mount and Transmission mount assembly
• Left front ABS sensor
• New battery
• Replaced handbrake cables

Work to be done now at 215,000km
• Serpentine belt and tensioners
• Water pump
• Thermostat
• Service super charger
• Power steering fluid flush, replace cooling fan
• Replace vacuum hoses as required (currently have P1498 fault code)
• Engine mounts and/or transmission mounts (car is vibrating when stopped at red light)
• Replace rear shocks, consider replacing front (already done but other ones might help old age) and consider replacing front bushings, ball joints and strut bearings
• Adjust handbrake (too “loose”, too high)
• Check CV joint boots
• Service air conditioner
• Replace spark plugs
• Replace power steering pump
• Replace oil pump
• Replace timing chain (with guides etc)
• Add GTT Strutbrace
• Replace clutch (might as well given the engine is probably coming out)
