Horn Problem
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot horn problem on my 2004 Cooper S? When activated, a 'relay?' seems to be clicking near the fuse panel but the fuse is OK.
Any suggestions? |
check at the horn for voltage ... 12 volts present then Bad Horn ... No 12 volts then you'll have to trace the wiring back to the relay ...

Thanks,
From your comment, I guess there is a horn relay? That is apparently what I hear clicking but have been unable to locate. Is it near the fuse panel? |
The failure rate of the horn assemblies (there are 2) is immense. They often fill full of water or moisture and then fail. As a previous poster said, check for 12v power and continuity with ground at the horn connector when an assistant presses the horn button.
