how to take the dash apart, add a switch...?
MCS 2008.
I'm curious if anybody knows how to take the dashboard or the overhead switch plate apart without breaking it?
I have empty swtich holes in each, and I'd like to install a switch, with some additional interior lighting and/or install my own ralley lights on the grille.

On my mini I bought the entire switch panel off of ebay (with all switches installed) then removed the stocker with the empty switch and replaced the entire unit then used the switch to activate a relay ...It's an unplug /replace /replug ...
So, how does the OEM installed switch panel remove from the car? Do you just grab onto the sides and pull it straight off? Are there clips? hidden screws?
I can't figure out how to take the oem panel off the car....
I'd really like to take the one off the ceiling...that's where I'd like to install my switch.
