iPhone Music/ Bluetooth connection

Can an iPhone that is paired by Bluetooth with my MINI for phone use also transmit my music playlists wirelessly by Bluetooth connection, or can that only be achieved with a cable adapter?

For an iPhone, I think transferring music only works with a cable adapter.
