Loud Tapping Noise!

First time here. I have questions and hoping that some one can help me with. I have a 2007S with 15K miles. Just got and oil change 5 days ago from Florida. I came back up to Columbia, SC and parked for 2 days. It has been in the 20's at night. This morning I started the car and heard tapping noise. I shut it off, check the oil and started again. The noise persisted. After about 2 or 3 minutes, the noise gotten lighter. I drove off slowly after a few seconds the noise disappeared. This was the first time it happened. The car has been sitting in the cold before. I hope I didn't damage anything. No warning lights of any kind.

Question, was that because the oil was cold and thicken and couldn't get to the valves on time? If I didn't already screw it up, what to do to prevent this from happening again?

Thanks for your time.

many second gen cars are having "cold start clatter" it appears to be tensioner for the timing chain causing the noise I'd get it to the dealer ASAP before there's additional damage
