Manual Trunk Release
 

My son pulled the manual trunk release handle while the trunk was open. Somehow the cable stretched or got longer. I now have about 6 inches of slack in it. The latch still works but the handle won't stay seated in its place. Is there a proper way to get rid of the excess slack?
