I have recently come into the market for 2004 mini cooper s. It has 72,000 miles. Based on carfax it has had 5 owners but has only had some wiring replaced. The owner is asking $12,300 though he says that the price is negotiable. Does anyone know of any major recurring problems with the 2004 S? Any advice on price?

 

Prices seem just a bit high, however, if you can negotiate it down a bit probably be ok. I'm not liking 5 owners, sounds like folks have not found the car to their liking for some reason, perhaps reliability! I think I'd pass on this one.
I just bought a 2007 S that's loaded and it's one owner fro $16,800. Keep looking, you can do better IMHO!
