my 2010 automatic is broken ed lol
So my 2010 mini automatic will not shift into park. I can not get it the actual shifter to go into park. It moves through all other gears just fine but park won't happen. The button for the shifter will not even go in. Please help

I would remove the center console and check if the cable is binding or the shifter is broken. Here is a quote from an individual who had a similar issue to yours, which was posted on our shifter cable DIY.
We actually disassemble the whole thing as per this article; then unscrewed the "shifter box" and took it out - it was needed to remove the center console to accomplish this. We opened the box. It needs to be opened carefully since there are a couple of springs that will immediately jump all over. Inside the box, there's a hard plastic, conic shaped, piece that allows the positioning and fwd-bwd stepping of the shifter. It was broken at several points, like smashed... It looked like it was forced somehow into gear. Anyway, we managed to glue it together and reassemble it again. It works fine. I hope it will hold while I get the replacement. |
