Negative or Positive ground on battery?
I can't figure out if the battery on my 2009 MINI Cooper (basic model) is negative-ground or positive-ground. All of the online resources tell me to follow the cable to see which is connected to the frame of the car. Well, all of the cables descend into the depths of the engine bay and I don't want to take everything apart just to follow them down. I figure all MINI Coopers in a certain year/model would be the same in this regard? But I can't find that information anywhere. Anyone here know? Thanks!

Take your voltmeter (multi-meter) and touch one end to the negative post and the other to the frame or some other good ground. If you get a reading around 12 volts, the positive post is grounded. If your reading is zero volts, the negative post is grounded. You can verify/prove your results by reversing the probes - put the probe on the positive post and touch the other one to the frame and check for voltage.
