I just bought a 05 Mini S with 18k miles "manual trans" . Love it except for two things, 1. Whenever I turn and hit the gas there is a noise that comes from the front almost like I am out of power sterring fluid? Anyone know what this is? 2. A woofling sound from my back tire at low speeds. The second tire situation I am hoping to take care of today by rotating the tires but would love to hear from anyone on the first Q. Thanks and love the forum.

 

[:@]I have an 05 S model as well and mine makes more noises than carter has pills! It is a 6 speed and when I put in it reverse and start to back up it sounds like the exhaust has a rattle, when on a lift nothing is loose and I replaced the factory exhaust and I still have the noise, when rolling up or down a hill and turning the wheels I get a noise like bad bearings, I have replaces both front ones and the rear ones seem tight and very free.
