Just bought a 2006 mini with 29K miles on it. Oil change indicator says to change in 12,500 miles. Is that real? I don't know a lot about mini maintenance, just seems like a lot of miles between. I still have about 2 yrs left on warranty. Should have the dealer service or what. The closest dealer is about 60 miles away. All advice welcome!

 

Mini's interval is 15K or yearly I change mine every half 7500 the "dealer" will not change it for free at the lower 7500 , I pay for that one , then use the dealer for the interval one , just don't reset the interval counter as that is what the dealer goes by
