Part laying under fuel pump

Was loosening my thermostat to take off and replace the crossover pipe seal due to it leaking at the waterpump, which I just replaced thinking that's where the leak was, and found this....spacer??? It was laying ontop my thermostat. I replaced my HPFP and valve cover this past summer.... anyone know what this could possibly go to??? I thought it was a socket at first, but, nope. It's definitely a spacer...does the HPFP have a spacer or valve cover? 5/8" long and about a 3/8" ID...Tks!
