Default PO117 Coolant Temp Sensor 1 Circuit low

I replaced the Turbo coolant return line on my wife’s ‘14 countryman S and afterwards we get the PO117 code and a CEL. At first it was constant but now it only happens if she’s on the freeway maintaining 70+ mph. Is it possible we have a cavitation issue at the sensor or should I just replace the sensor?

My scan tool shows constant and I believe accurate temp readings so I’m doubtful of a failed/failing sensor.

Thanks in advance

Eric

You have to bleed the system, you have trapped air by the sensor or you bumped the sensor or wire i guess. Have to bleed it a couple time.

If someone could share the secret process for bleeding this specific cooling system I’d sure appreciate it.

All my attempts apparently have left air in the system.

Thanks

Eric
