questions on 04 mini s reliability
 
Hey guys my name is James im in the process of buying a 04 mini s with 60k miles on it I test drove it and the car feels mechanically sound but I've never done work to a mini and no one I know has a mini what kind of problems with I run into or better yet what have u fixed on yours please any ones input helps

Hello James,

The 04 MINIs are pretty solid cars pending you keep up with the scheduled maintenance, look after it etc.. I do not believe the 04's suffered from the troublesome CVT automatic transmission failures of previous years, but again, I'm not sure. The power steering fan also tends to give up at times.
