rattling noise when accelerating 04 r53
 

how's it going I just bought this mini last week it has 60k on the odometer and it runs good but for the past few days I've heard a rattling noise while i accelerate i don't know it there's a performance blockage but yeah i wanna know what it is and solve it and or avoid it

Does it usually happen when the engine is cold?

i mean i heard it when the car was warned up on my way to work its not like a loose heat shield I've dealt with alot of those in my past cars I've heard a similar noise in my friends mustang and in a few of my old cars when I get on it there's a rattle in the higher end of the gear

Run a search on that MINI Cooper 'death rattle,' a lot of ppl have had issues with this.

Ok I found death rattle and im not ruling it out but I think that I was just maybe not high enough graded gas I filled up with bp ultimate and I have it really heard it still checking but idk about the death rattle
