Mini Cooper Tuning

Thinking about getting a Mini Cooper S. Based in the UK. Current spec for the 07 model is 175.3BHP I was wondering is it possible to tune a Mini Cooper S. I know alot of diesal cars can be tuned/diesal chips etc. Please advice
