Not to mention the turbo is a twin scroll, and it will have fully variable valve timing among tons of other features.

Would it be cheaper to get a say 02' Mini Cooper and add a Turbo, vs. the 07' Cooper Turbo? I'm on a tight budget so how much more will insurence be (just a guess if anyone knows)? And the car for that matter.

If you can find a used '02 Cooper, then you could add a turbo and it would probably cost less than an '07 (depending on how much you got the car for), but like we stated above, it'll void the warranty. If you get the '07, you'll already have a turbo, and there will be products out there that will not void the warranty that'll give you a lot more power. Plus, you'd be one of the only people riding around in the newest Mini out there. There is no definite price set on the new Minis though, so it's probably too early to tell.

As far as insurance goes, you'd probably have to pay a lot more to insure the '02 if you turbo'd, unless you just didn't tell your insurance company that you put the turbo on there.
