Slow to start

Yesterday, my 2006 Mini S began starting slowly. The Service Engine Soon light is not on and the battery appears to be fully charged. Any ideas what might be wrong & is it safe to drive the vehicle?:confused:

test battery and electrical system first most part stores will do it free
