I bought a used 2005 Mini S and love the car. At first I thought I was just getting bad reception on the radio because of static. When I used a CD I had the same static, so now I know it is the system itself. I am wondering if it is the little antena. Anyone else had this problem?

 

CD doesn't use the antenna ... So I doubt that it would be the cause ...
It might be bad speakers/amp since it happens on both
