I am taking my 2006 Mini Cooper S to Canada. It was purchased in the U.S. and appears to meet all Canadian standards except for having the odometer readout in metric.

The speedometer dial has both U.S. and metric.

Is there a way to toggle between U.S. and Metric for the odometer. My understanding is the BMW Canada charges nearly $2000 to switch out the cluster even if it is just the odometer that needs changing.

Any and all suggestions are helpful.
