transmission problem

I have a 06 cooper S. Automatic with the paddle shifters. My car jerks first to second gear. This happens once the car is warmed up.

When I drive in manual mode and start off in second gear its fine.

Is the tranny bad or anything with the ecu?

Hm, when was the last time you serviced the transmission fluid/filter? Is the fluid level low?
