A cheap way to mount the muffler
 

Hey everyone,

Recently registered on your forum, as I am a new owner of a 2006 Mini Cooper. I totally love the vehicle. I bought it used, though in very good condition. The only thing that worries me now is that its exhaust is not mounted properly, meaning that the muffler hanging bracket is missing. I checked with the dealer, and they want $120+ for the bracket, which sounds like a ripoff to me. So I was wondering maybe someone here had a similar problem and there is a less expensive way to get it fixed? I already checked my local junk yards, yet found nothing for my Mini Cooper...

Guys, a quick update. Yesterday found an aftermarket muffler hanging bracket that is said to be the direct replacement for the OE piece # 430448 (that's exactly what was missing https://www.carid.com/exhaust-brackets/). By the way, the price is around $50 only, which is also cool.
